Hartley Peavey builds his first amplifier

1959

During his senior year of high school, Hartley designs his future company's lightning-bolt logo

1964

The U.S. Patent Office issues Hartley's first patent for an early Peavey amplifier design

1965

Hartley establishes Peavey Electronics Corporation

1977

Peavey revolutionizes the guitar industry with the T-60™ guitar, the first musical instrument made using computer numerical controlled (CNC) machinery

1987

Peavey introduces PVM™ Series microphones with exclusive diamond-coated diaphragm technology developed by NASA that adds strength and produces a smooth audio response

1993

Peavey MediaMatrix®, the world's first computer-based audio processing and control interface, revolutionizes the audio industry—and is still the world standard today, with more than 10,000 installations around the globe

1995
